Flying to Si.
Here's a few pictures from a recent flight to Si. I'll try and put together pictures and info of the route and the landing options soon for those who might want to give this fun trip a try sometime. This was a particularly easy day to do it but anyday that one can get high over the towers at Tiger this trip is worth a try. I've made it on some blue and fairly weak days. This picture was taken from just east of Preston with Si straight ahead. Rattlesnake Ridge (middle right) is generally the most reliable spot for gaining altitude before crossing over North Bend.

Here's a shot looking SE into the watershed while flying over North Bend. That's Chester Morse lake with Mt Washington on the left.

And here's a few shots from over Si. The altitude is from 6,500 to 6,900 MSL. Can't you just taste cloudbase?

If you leave Si high enough you can try to fly out to view Snoqualmie Falls before landing. You can just make out in this picture the rainbow colors in the mist below. Way fun!
