Arch Cape and south a bit

We landed at Arch Cape to warm up. Here's a shot Werner took of our beautiful LZ and launch which is 1 block from my Mom's house and a deli where they make great sandwiches.

There's 2,000 foot Onion Peak overlooking Arch Cape which I didn't get pictures of but it's a great thermal site that used to be a HG site years ago till the road was gated. Here's few shots I took flying a few miles further south.

This is Short Sands Beach, a good surfing and camping spot that is a couple mile hike through old growth rain forest.

This view is looking south from over Neakanie Mt. Manzanita is over my right foot. Nice spot, good restaurants. Wheeler is off to the left and a beautiful river valley with good LZs, thermal sites, and good flying for next time.

Here's Werner over Castle Rock. He will fly back into the mountains and sky out in even stronger thermals before flying back north to Seaside for his truck. I'll stay at Arch Cape and walk my gear back to the house. Ahhh, this is the life :)
