I caught glimpses of the wall and other familliar landmarks...

...but mostly I was focused on the rapidly changing clouds and light.

Quite overwhelming. I'm not sure I was even in a glider at this point. I have this memory of just flying around with my arms open feeling the clouds with my fingers (they felt smooth). I guess I was in a glider though huh? At least my shadow was glider shaped.

Thin clouds like these I would fly through at high speed. The sensation of speed was intense as the wisps would go flying past close all around and then clear, I would catch my breath as I busted out into the sunlight on the other side.

(Mt. Rainier is just visible in the distance)

I had some real fun with this one below, squeezing over the top of it and dragging my hand along it's side. Just like I dreamed of doing as a kid. Flying over the top everything was all fluffy white and then suddenly, clearing the edge, the bottom fell away to reveal the valley far below. It was like launching off the cliff again.

I finally had to put the camera away and really cut loose :) I staryed up there as long as I could, deciding that a hike up in the dark for my car would be a perfect ending to a great flight.
